The Girl-Kind project aims to give girls a chance to celebrate their achievements, address their struggles and let people know what they’re thinking. Working with groups of Year 10 girls from schools across the North East, Girl-Kind runs workshops to highlight the diversity of girls’ experiences, turning their thoughts and ideas into creative interventions showcased at a Celebratory Event (Saturday 6th October, Northumbria University).
Girl-Kind is held each year to coincide with UN International Day of the Girl – a global event held annually on 11 October, which raises awareness of the rights of the girl, and celebrate girls’ lives throughout the world.
